Wolf Squadron 2043

Wolf Squadron deploying from the SDF-3 over Tirol.

Wolf Squadron was part of the Robotech Expeditionary Force that departed Earth for the Robotech Masters' homeworld of Tirol.

In 2043, Wolf was based on the SDF-3 with Jack Baker in command of the squadron. Wolf was scrambled to intercept T.R. Edwards after he fled the surface of Tirol in the stolen Icarus. The squadron was decimated by Ghost Squadron who were using Shadow technology making them invisible to Wolf Squadron's sensors. They lost 9 fighters before they were ordered to disengage. A year later, Wolf was part of the REF assault forces that attacked Optera, the Invid's current homeworld. The squadron was equipped with VF-6 Shadow Fighters for the attack. (Comic: "Robotech: Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles 4: Ghosts of the Past")

Wolf Squadron was part of the third Robotech Expedition to retake Earth in 2044 with Commander Daryl Taylor in command.

Wolf Squadron was at least partly based out of Moon Base ALUCE prior to the battle and took part in recons of Earth prior to the attack. ForThe Battle of Reflex Point the squadron launched from a Ikazuchi-class cruiser and was part of Attack Division 12.

The squadron enjoyed success initially thanks to their shadow devices but as the battle went on the Invid's numbers became more telling and started to overwhelm the REF attackers. Commander Taylor was among the many casualties suffered by Wolf Squadron. Following the battle Wolf Squadron was folded into Skull Squadron. (Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles)
