Lieutenant Commander Maia Sterling is a daughter of Max and Miriya Sterling, and is Dana's younger sister. She is half-human, half Zentraedi woman.

Shortly before the Battle of Reflex Point. Maia was promoted to leader of the Skull Squadron. Making her the youngest-ever commanding officer of the Skull Squadron, the same squad that her father led.

The Maia appeared in Dana's dreams once to warn her of the Invid. (RM: Catastrophe)

Maia is stric like her mother and yet witty like her father, and like her parents, marks her fighter with her own personal colors - in this case, a combination of the standard blue paint scheme, and her own personal pink. Her personal flight suit uses a similar color scheme.

Third Robotech WarEdit

She led Skull Squadron in the final battle of the Third Robotech War along with Commander Daryl Taylor (Commanding officer of Wolf Squadron) during the The Battle of Reflex Point.

Behind the ScenesEdit

Maia Sterling appears to replace Aurora Sterling who was the "other daughter of Max and Mirya" as seen in the Jack McKinney novels. The two are completely different characters and at this time, no other daughter is assumed, in spite of the different hair color between Maia and the girl in Dana's vision.
