Kim Young was Claudia Grant's communication assistant in charge of monitoring the internal systems of the SDF-1 and reports on their status to Claudia and Lisa. Kim spent most of her off-duty time with her friends Vanessa and Sammie, chasing men and having fun in Macross City. She, along with her four coworkers and Captain Gloval, were killed during Khyron's suicide run on the SDF-1.
