Streamline Pictures was an American media company known for the distribution of anime that was in operation from 1988 to 2002.

It was succeeded by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

Founding[]

The company was founded by Carl Macek and Jerry Beck.

Releases[]

Streamline was well known as an early distributor of Japanese anime that was intended to appeal to American audiences while, at the same time, remaining faithful to the original content.

The company primarily focused on feature length media including: Akira, My Neighbor Totoro, Megazone 23, Robotech II: The Sentinels, Windaria, among numerous others.

The company also released Robotech as a special edition collection with original episodes of Robotech together with their corresponding episodes in Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospeada.
