Robotech Genesis: The Legacy of Zor is a Robotech-prequel comic series released by Eternity Comics comics in 1992. Of all of the Robotech comic spin-offs, it is perhaps the one to go the farthest back in the Robotech timeline.
While the comicbook series became non-canon in 2001 with the franchise's restructuring, it is still considered a vital part of Robotech's backstory as it explains the origins of Protoculture, the Robotech Masters, the Invid Regess, The SDF-1, and expanded on Zor's backstory and death, which were vaguely aluded by Zor Prime in the TV show.
