Robotech Aftermath 2: Exile

This work is not considered Canon in the Robotech universe. Either it was never meant to be canon or was later reconnected out of continuity. On this site, we consider any works that majority contradict primary material or has been officially resigned by the Robotech team to be non-canon.

Roobtech: Aftermath 2: Exile is the second title in the alternate continuity Robotech: Aftermath line. It introduces the stories of Scott Bernard's friends after the Third Robotech War and centers on the peaceful location of Belmont.

Summary[]

The city of Belmont had shut its boarders and refuses new refugees, which leads to those coming being turned away. One of such was Hohsq who was looking for a safe place for his people. Lt. Ganz Chaver reported to him that they had 3 months left of supplies sue to spoilage and other factors. Later, Rand told Rook not to fire on the kids he had with him and relented to her imposition. When Sera confronted her about what changed her, she had a flashback to her sister Lily being killed and leaves. Later Sera, Rand, Annie and Lunk talked and Sera revealed she could sometimes read people and felt guilty afterwards. Rand wondered if it was his fault Rook changed and Lunk disagrees with the idea. While wondering of Nova's Iron Butterflies, Annie suggested having a large party. Hohsq lamented having 3000 people to care for with supplies running low and many were Zentraedi or half. He sent Chaver with a letter of instructions to be opened later and had him bring Tarquin and Heuneinnian to Belmont Road with Special Units. Nova coerced Scott to sign an order exiling Rand, Sera and Lancer by using the prospect of reunion with Marlene. At night, Sera dreamed of her brother Corg's Mech but then Hohsq saying his son and her brother, then slicing his right hand with a sword and mentioning her lover. Later as the part is being discussed, Rook arrived and beat Rand in the stomach with her baton. Lancer charged at her but a warning shot from Rook prevented him from continuing as she told them the 3 were exiled and had 1 hour to pack. After being run out of town, Sera dreamed of Corg calling to her, while Scott dreamed of naked Marlene telling him he wasn't being himself. As Scott tried to reach her, his cape held him and and Marlene told him to drop the cape to reach her. After his dream, Scott summoned Rook and ordered her to go out in Civvies to bring back the 3 exiled, but she reported this to Nova who told her to go along with it, assuming Scotts plan to get them to play ball would fail. At night Sera went off to find Corg and Hohsq predicted this and had Heuneinnian and Chaver out to where she was headed. Chaver called to her pretending to be Corg and as she approached she spoke the Invid Language which alarmed Chaver as she might be the one Hohsq feared. To protect Hohsq, Chaver attacked her with a sword but she began singing and it broke their blades and immobilized them. She fell unconscious and the 2 took her to a detention cell and upon reporting to Hohsq, he ordered no harm to her. He then sent Heuneinnian with a letter to go to Belmont and tell them Sera was their captive at Castle Cate, and they would release her for food, clean water, medication and the North Fields.
