The Swordfish was a Robotech Defense Force starship created in the aftermath of the First Robotech War, the Swordfish is similar to the later Garfish class cruisers and carries a large railgun cannon on the ventral bow section. It was also used by the Robotech Expeditionary Force as a stopgap combat refit of the Garfish class.
Behind the scenes[]
The vessel was one of the potential ships designed for the Robotech: Academy Kickstarter. It has yet to be brought into continuity, whether by completion of the planned series or appearances in secondary media. The vessel was first seen briefly in the original teaser for the Kickstarter made by CreaVision, with more images released later.
It was later included in the RPG sourcebook Robotech: Homefront.
